Kigelia Academy

The word "Kazungula" originates from the Toka-leya tribe, people indigenous to the area of the school. The word  Kazungula refers to the indegenous sausage tree known as Kigelia Africana. The tree is a perfect symbol to associate with as an emerging brand. It connects with the local community giving it a sense of "belonging

The word "Kazungula" originates from the Toka-leya tribe, people indigenous to the area of the school. The word  Kazungula refers to the indegenous sausage tree known as Kigelia Africana. The tree is a perfect symbol to associate with as an emerging brand. It connects with the local community giving it a sense of "belonging". The tree itself posseses character traits that drives the fundamentals of our brand identity. The Kigelia Africana is primarily used as medicine, which can communicate our commitment in playing a part in the project of the restoration of Zambia championed by the current government. The tree is the only species in the genus it belongs to, an extremely rare occurance that communicates uniqueness.
